Canon Pixma MX527 Driver
Canon Pixma MX527 Printer Driver Download. The Canon Pixma MX527 printer prints really good and fast. Double-sided, one-sided, faxing is no problem and scanning is doing just fine. Only the power consumption at rest I find a bit too high. It consumes about 4 times as much as my Samsung LED TV at rest. That's why I turn off the printer as soon as I stop using it for a long time. I ordered the Canon Pixma MX527 printer because of the Air Print and Wlan function. I only need the printer here to print something or send a fax. The printer is 2 floors away and is connected to the laptop via a repeater. It's great that you can print something quickly what does not take immediately without the whole laptop to lug. Otherwise I print normal things or send a fax and for us quite enough. I own 2 Canon Pixma MX527 printers. Generally good, fits most home purposes and Canon multifunction printers and so on the fairly used to them.

Speed is quite reasonable even though scanning speed can be highly unpredictable. I have a few observations for buyers: The Mac OS integration for Canon printers has always been slow, irritating and somewhat patchy. Yes, there are drivers and each autumn when Apple upgrades the OS, you are left wondering why Canon has not produced seamless easy updates. You have to go through a cumbersome procedure at Canon and shame. And so there are often a need to upgrade specific drivers. Canon should make upgrades as easy as Apple does. Canon's "My Garden" printer software is a bit messy and they should have more straight forward menus (which they used to have many years ago). My two identical printers have drivers that simply do not work in the same way (with two iMacs with similar configurations)! One has Airprint working ok, the other does not!

Faster, suddenly after reinstallation of Canon Pixma MX527 drivers, works excruciatingly slowly on scanning for no apparent reason! I can only point to erratic driver integration. Canon updates firmware once in a while only. No information really on what is being done. I have a major problem with one of my Canon Pixma MX527: when I got the firmware update from the LCD screen, and the downloading started over wifi from Canon, something unusually went wrong. The printer is now in an eternal "Download cycle / Fail to update" that can not be stopped and even after unplugging and reconnecting the power. The buttons do not respond. There is no explanation. Crazy! Overall the Canon Pixma MX527 printer itself is really super good but unfortunately the colors were not quite full (which is usually so when buying) and therefore quickly empty. Buy should be considered because the ink is very expensive. But if you want a good multifunction printer, it should be worth the money. The printer has never let me down for almost two years. I only used original ink cartridges.
